It was short and sweet, seeing as Alex has to work tonight. He came home after midnight last night, so we exchanged gifts then. I got him a card and the Def Leopard "Rock of Ages" cd. His gift to me was really cute. He had said earlier yesterday that I wouldn't like what he got me. I told him it ONLY mattered that he was thinking of me when he got it, it didn't matter what it was...it was the fact that someone was thinking of me. So he asked if a stick of gum would work (smartass), and I said if he was thinking of me when he got it, then that was just fine. So, when he came in last night he gave me a pack of gum..lol. Then gave me a purple monkey (we have a *thing* for monkeys...*smirk*) that whistles. Then gave me a dvd copy of "House of 1000 Corpses" (the movie that was playing the night we met over at his house). I'm a lucky gal, to have a guy who got me something that only I would understand...only I would appreciate...things that are special between us only. I love you!
I took my littlest Valentine to Denny's for dinner tonight (we gave her a much-cherished Doodle Bear yesterday...hasn't let her side since-she even buckles in a seatbelt), then stopped and gave Alex Burger King (better then ravioli again, huh?) lol.
That's about all for now...it's crossed my mind a couple of times that this time last year, we were 2 weeks past losing Marissa...I don't know what to say or feel about that right now.
We're both worn out...we've been rearranging furniture the last couple of days (must be me nesting..lol), trying to get all ready for little one.
